If you want a movie that is extremely unentertaining and painful to watch, this movie is for you
My quick observation is it's horribly unfunny and painful to watch. It did not improve from the first movie. The only difference was that the first movie was at least watchable. This sequel fits in the worst category of bad movies, it's extremely painful to watch and all of the jokes are either overused, cringy, generic or are so stupid that it makes your insides want to puke out an entire meal of refried beans.

First of all the story is very sloppy. The plot seems to change half way through the movie. The Addams family are going on a road trip around the US but later on Wednesday turns out to be "adopted" and has a biological father who is a "scientist" who has an uncanny resemblance to Steve Jobs. At the end of the movie there is a boss battle with the scientist who literally turns in to a stupid dog kraken human thing and fester who is a mutant blob who seems to be able to battle the stupid dog kraken human thing.

When the story tries to tug on your heart strings it fails miserably and sometimes it's so absurd that the supposed "emotional scenes" would make you cringe out of shock, confusion, emotional pain and despair.

Second of all it's a cash grab. You can tell because everything feels of low quality. The animation isn't the best, it is high resolution but it feels very generic. It is milking a successful name and brand, the Addams family franchise dates back to the sixties and has raked in millions of cash over the years. Probably the only reason they made money off of this is because of the name.

Third and final of all it just doesn't work. What I mean by this is the movie doesn't fit as an Addams family movie. It doesn't sound like the Addams family to go on a road trip around the US and have Wednesday adopted with a biological father. It's not only terrible but it just doesn't fit in with the Addams Family.

All I now have to say is that if you want to watch a movie that is stupid, unentertaining and painfully unfunny this movie is for you. If your anything other than that a suggest you steer clear of this movie.

Strobe lighting at the end of the film.
There was absolutely zero need for the strobing parts at the last few minutes of the film. That's what ruined it for me. Otherwise it would have been a positive review. There was no epilepsy warning at the start of the movie. I'm left with a headache from that strobing at the end.

    Mediocre and forgettable
The animation is better than the first one (still not great, but it gets the job done), but the character designs are still pretty bad. The story is unoriginal and the writing generally falls flat. The performances are pretty good though, and the characters are still pretty likable.

Worse than the first. Not awful, but not good either. This is a mediocre waste of time. Kids might like it, but adults will find that this is nothing more than a forgettable movie. Watch something else instead.
