    Musically Enchanting
First things first, this movie is very much a musical so if musicals aren't your cup of tea then you will not like this movie. That said, the songs in the movie are all quite good with the most memorable of them being "Surface Pressure" and "We Don't Talk about Bruno" though particularly the latter. And yes, the songs do make sense in the larger context of the movie's plot.

Beyond that Mirabel is a likeable protagonist and all of the characters are (for the most part) well-written.

The story itself is actually rather simple (and I get why some people consider it a weaker aspect of the movie) but sometimes simple works.

All in all, it's pretty good.

    Encanto review by the Lampomoviekids
Hello -1st review by Danae and Theseas for the 1st film we ever watched in a theater! Encanto is a film full of magic and truly amazing music and songs, beautifully orchestrated, produced and sang by the characters. There were many highly sentimental moments, and every character had something to sympathize about and even understand in your own life experience. The animation was great without being over the top 👏 which is a good example of how down to earth the writing is. The protagonist was a powerful character that did not surve as the chosen one but rather as the connection between the viewer, the story and the other characters. The story itself was rather linear without many or powerful twists or surprises and that was fine. Overall, highly recommended for the whole family!

    Encanto
Encanto is a colorful vibrant ride through some family turmoil, filled with some fun songs, great visuals and a okay story. I enjoyed my time with it. But it didn't stick around enough for me to fall in love with it.

First of visually it's stunning, some really pretty scenes and and of the songs just turn into these fantastic artistic music videos and it's a joy to watch. The animation is great as wel, feels like it's a lot more expressive than other new and older Disney movies but that might just be me. It definlty had a great energy.

Voice acting was good, nothing to note. Music was fine, but nothing that really stuck the landing for me and made me want to add it to my playlist or something.

Story is just okay, mainly because it wraps up just much to fast and some arcs are just rushed to get the story to move. I wish it was more spread out and we got longer transitions between the character relations. Its just a bit quick to expected result. That said it's a nice story in general. Hits the hearts strings here needed, though keeps it much lighter than Pixar does.

    All in all very enjoyable.

    This movie saves me!
This is probably one of the best animated film I ever watched. I love how the writers and directors perfectly presented the notion that we are all valid regardless of our capabilities. That we can make a purpose in life in some other ways, we just have to be courageous and determined. I assimilated its essence from the beginning up until the last portion of the story. If someone asks me some animated film, Ill certainly tell this one aside from KLAUS and COCO.

But was it just me or anybody else thought of why the girl with superhearing gift had never realized that her uncle is still with them.

Masterpiece Film! NOT TO BE MISSED
Dazzling Modern Day Masterpiece. Fabulous animation, gorgeous orchestration, peerless songwriting and genius storytelling., adding up to magnificent harmony across the spectrum of the disciplines. There are no superlatives left. What we have is a magnificent female story, breathlesss positivity, a simple story with a subtle psychology, and sumptuous emotional involvement. Fall in love with all of the characters as they slip in and out of the focus of the film's story Then watch it again and see who you focus on and what you notice most, and then watch it again and see how gracefully you can listen to a song in a foreign language and get every little emotion from just the music and the music of the lyrics, even if you don't know what they mean. Encanto will become one of the most beloved films of all time, ranking up there with Sleeping Beauty, Alie in Wonderland and Mary Poppins nd Mary Poppins Returns.

It's okay for a Disney movie
While I enjoyed the storyline, I had problems with the video and being able to hear ALL of the dialogue on a DVD. There were QUITE a few scenes where it just sounded like the characters were mumbling (yes, I know that I don't have the best hearing and I know my TV isn't the newest), but on a DVD I should be able to hear EVERYTHING.
