    Nolan - A Superhero
"The Dark Knight" isn't just a movie; it's a cinematic success that transcends the superhero genre, leaving a lasting mark on the world of film. Nolan masterfully weaves a complex and morally ambiguous take of chaos and order, exploring the thin line between heroism and villainy. Heath Ledger as the Joker is brilliant, and anytime he's on the screen this action film seems elevated. It also gets the nihilistic insanity of the character right, as Alfred (Michael Caine) so correctly puts it, "Some men just want to watch the world burn." I was less of a fan of Christian Bale's performance as Batman, with his toneless, gruff voice, and if I'm honest, even the concept of the Dark Knight, with Batman sans Robin viewed as an evil vigilante by the citizens of Gotham. I also thought the film tried to pack too much in, with the love interest/triangle (Maggie Gyllenhaal), rise of Two Face (Aaron Eckhart), and extraneous characters (e.g. Morgan Freeman). It could have also used a breather in between all the action scenes, though some of the elements, like that batpod with the extra fat tires, were pretty cool. It goes on way too long at 152 minutes, and if it had been pared down and more focused on the Joker's sadistic psychological cruelty, could have been a masterpiece. All in all it's a good, entertaining film, but not worthy of the extraordinary high praise and ratings it's received.

I believe whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you , stranger!
This movie by far in my humble opinion has to be one of the best I have watched in a decade. I watch alot of movies over the weekend. I actually missed this movie and saw the poster everywhere. I saw the first batman movie and I felt hmm okay it's good . Christian bale performance and heath Ledger madness blew me off . From the getgo right upto the last ending I was on the edge of my seat . For a DC movie if there's an 11 rating it would be mine . Heath Ledger as the joker I just couldnt fathom . The agent of chaos plays the chess board extremely well . Every moves is done perfectly. Simply put ! Stupendous.

    Brilliant Performances and Solid Commentary
This was a movie that I saw opening night. It was one that I saw multiple times in the theater. I was hyped and anyone who wanted to see it, I would join them. It had been some time since the last time that I saw it though. Jaime and I decided to watch it since it appeared on the Internet Movie Database Top 100 poster.

In this sequel to Batman Begins, Batman (Christian Bale) has made a name for himself. So much so that there are people are impersonating him. He wants to clean up the streets, but it is becoming more difficult. He is also wanted by the police. Detective Gordon (Gary Oldman) collaborates with him, but not so much the others on his team. I should point out that they might be corrupt though.

Things take a turn when a new villain shows up and robs a mob bank. He goes by the name of Joker (Heath Ledger). The criminals of the city are pushed to his help, despite them believing him to be insane. Drastic times call for drastic measures.

This is aided by the fact that there is a tough district attorney that is looking to clean up the streets too. His name is Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart). He's a fan of Batman and things that he's good for the city. What is interesting there is that Harvey is seeing Bruce Wayne's ex-girlfriend, Rachel (Maggie Gyllenhaal).

As Batman and Harvey try to clean up the streets, Joker makes it difficult. This anarchist does what he can to vilify even the best of people. The best way to describe him goes to Alfred (Michael Caine). The Joker just wants to see the world burn.

Now this is another one that I'm assuming most everyone has seen. During this rewatch, Jaime and I agreed that what makes Batman work so well at adapting to the screen is that he doesn't have superpowers. He is a hero that is rich, skilled in fighting and is smart. It goes into the fantastic, but not too far where you don't believe it. I think that Bale does a great job here at balancing the rich Bruce Wayne to the caped crusader of Batman.

What also works here is the amazing cast around him. This was a performance of a lifetime for Ledger. He was amazing as the Joker. It is a shame to what happened to him. Eckhart is good as Harvey and in turn, Two-Face. Caine, Gyllenhaal, Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Cillain Murphy, Chin Han, Eric Roberts, Anthony Michael Hall and Michael Jai White are all good. There isn't a bad performance here to be honest.

Then what also helps is that Christopher Nolan does an excellent job with making this. This is a long movie, but I barely feel it. It moves through things so well. There are so many set pieces that stick out to me. We get CGI here and it is coupled with practical effects. Both are great. I think that the soundtrack fits the epic feel that it needs. This is just a well-made movie. I go back and forth as to which is my favorite. This or the next one. What I'll say is that this is great.

My Rating: 9.5 out of 10.

    The highest movie level
The best film from DC and one of the best films of all time (top 4 for me), Nolan in the best form. 150 minutes of cinematic perfection from the first to the last minute, faultless work by almost everyone involved. And just by the way, I would like to highlight the performance of Aaron Eckhart, who is perhaps a little overlooked thanks to the great Joker, and without whom the film would not have achieved the qualities that this film has and that, I think, it has on an absolutely top scale, whatever the script , the camera, the direction, the actors, and actually just about everything that can be listed here, it all works in one professionally assembled jigsaw puzzle that Nolan put together for us, it moves at such an incredible pace that during the stronger scenes (and there really are many of them) heart beats pumped with adrenaline, even with Zimmer's pumped up and with the Joker's appearance depressing music. And if it is played with proper rehearsals, on a proper screen and in the dark (atmospherically), then it must get absolutely every living person on this earth and if there is anyone who would not be confused by it even with these conditions and would not have it in I still have one more week after watching it, so don't be mad at me, but I guess I'll never understand you :). And I know everyone writes about the Joker here, but in my opinion it's simply the best acting performance I've seen so far, he literally gave his life for it, to make the role perfect, Heath Ledger did crazy things that ended up costing him his life and I I admire her a lot for that, the role had absolutely everything and is the absolute best for me so far.

    HEALTH LEDGER
Best joker ever. It was the best cinema experienced I've ever had. Surpass it first (Batman Begins). Christopher Nolan is at his best. He never les you down on any of his work. I want to say is the best superhero movie ever made, but actually is more than that. Christian Bale, not a bĂgaros fan of his Batman but still, he still owns the vigilante. I saw this movie when it came out at the Theater and still see this days and is one of the best. But obviously won't compare this to any other Marvel movies because is a really different way to tell a superhero story. Love it, Like it, and still has it.

    No words.
This is why we love cinema, This masterpiece has it all.

Superheroes movies now days have a pattern that all studios follow and that's why they are all feel the same except The Dark Knight.

The whole crew were just beyond amazing but Ledgar was majestic.

This is how it will look like if superheroes were real this is a real film not a green screen regular SH film.

Nolan defined practical stunts with this film and proved to us all that we don't need the new CGI technology to make a groundbreaking art that shows comic book characters on screen.

I know how well known this film is but if you by any chance did not see it yet, you're not living on earth.

Easily one of the greatest films of the modern era
This along with "Dark Knight Rises" are easily two of the greatest movies of the modern era. Christopher Nolan and the rest of the staff do an impeccable and perfect job from start to finish. The actors chosen for each role, the character development and storylines are perfect. Some of the most iconic scenes ever. I always highly recommend anyone who hasn't watched the Dark Knight trilogy to watch it start to finish asap. This was a big win for DC considering how huge Marvel has become. I 100% believe Christian Bale cemented himself as the greatest Batman, even more so than some of the classics in the 80s and 90s.

    Long live the King.
To the late Heath Ledger, thank you.

You took us on a thrilling, mysterious journey of a mind through a psychopath. The authentic nature of the role created a bar set so high, it will never be touch.

The film itself keeps you interested from the start. Two movies in one; before and after. The journey of understanding how one can go from a hero and become a villain bodes true in this movie as well as in real life. I cannot tell you the amount of times I have watch this movie. Each time a new Batman comes out, I can't help but compare this masterpiece.

Many will try, but this will be the best Batman, ever.
