A new classic.
Great cast, awesome stunts, questionable morality, ridiculous plot, what's not to love? Peña is such a versatile actor and always handles comedy brilliantly, Shepard is very funny, and D'Onofrio acts so straight and brilliantly; his scenes almost transform the film from farce to high-end drama. Lots of 'oh no they didn't' moments, great slapstick, running jokes, parodies and satire. I found this to be a very rounded and funny film that is definitely a welcome relief when you need a bit of a laugh. This would make a great double-bill with Stiller and Wilson's 'Starsky and Hutch'. It passed the time
There are some good laughs but the story is pretty bad along with the writing. There were moments where it seemed like they just threw some scenes together. Most of the acting was ok. But overall just background noise. - danielbrown-47106 - 4 July 2022
Loved it!
I'm 34 and rarely actually 'LOL' anymore, but this movie managed to succeed over and over again. I loved the cast, the dialog, the filming/directing style, the jokes, the everything almost, except I found the choice of music to be a bit stale and overused, albeit uniformly adequate, just ..generic, I'm not asking for pop songs instead, that'd be even worse, but just not that overdone typical action comedy soundtrack please. This is one of maybe 4 or 5 comedies I've ever rated so highly. Please keep making more crew! Great work!
