    Good old reliable feel-food movie
I feel like its been a while since I've watched an actual feel-good movie. Desperate for one last chance to win, Michael Light convinces a sponsor to back him and a team of athletes for the Adventure Racing World Championship in the Dominican Republic. As the team gets pushed to the outer limits of endurance, a dog named Arthur comes along for the ride, redefining what victory, loyalty and friendship truly means.

Just like every other dog movie, the story evolves around the relationship between the lead and the dog. However, there's a lot more to the story in this one; from the whole adventure, to every character's personal backstory, and their progression in life. Now I definitely got emotionally attached to the dog and wanted the team as a whole to win however you really can't get invested in each characters story. Something that really stood out to me was that the movie was filled with amazing and beautiful natural shots. Now although the script was pretty weak at many points with a lot of cliché lines, there were some scenes where you would really feel the tension rising as if you are with the characters on that adventure.

Overall, a pretty enjoyable adventure/ feel-good real life story with a little bit of flaws that can be ignored.

    Score:7/10.

Imperfect but passable true-tale feel-good sporting / canine romp
In imperfect but passable true-tale sporting / canine romp "Arthur The King" Mark Wahlberg leads team-mates Simu Liu, Ali Suliman & Nathalie Emmanuel on a multi-day World Championship endurance race (involving jungle trekking, zip-lining (great scene), cycling, kayaking, climbing, etc) in the Dominican Republic... on which they're joined by the titular abused stray dog. Michael Brandt's screenplay is too slow to introduce the dog to the team, but once it does the sluggish pace builds and the requisite tear-jerk boxes are ticked (despite Simon Cellan Jones' direction being amateurishly basic at times). It coulda been better but the feel-good power of the story pulls it through.

Great family movie based on true story and the dog
The best movie for family watching! About friendship and support! We cried a lot while watching but these were the happy tears. It is a movie about friendship, commitment and support. We watched it with the kids if 7 and 9 and it is fine for them. Even though it slightly differs from the original story behind the movie it doesn't affect the plot. The movie keeps the dynamics and shows the character development through the film while struggling in the competition. I don't want to give spoilers so I won't say how the team finished but it is nit really important as the team work is the most valuable asset.
