    Not a Mad Max Saga.
It was bad enough to have Mad Max be in a supporting role in his own movie, "Fury Road", which should have been titled "A Furiosa Saga", but to title the new movie "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga", without "Mad Max" is disrespectful to Mad Max lore. A lack of confidence in the marketing team that didn't believe a "Furiosa" only title would put lots of people in seats. Marketing, as well as the producers, baited the audience with the "Mad Max". Why call it a "prequel"? Why not let "Furiosa" stand on her own? In my opinion, the fans of the Mad Max trilogy asked for this movie nor did they expect to see their beloved titular character in a supporting role in Fury Road. "Give the fans what they want and not what Hollywood believes they need"!

    The Best Mad Max?
Hot take: I'm not a fan of the Mad Max franchise. I remember finding Fury Road too 'weird' and feeling that the action was just action for action's sake. However, I approached Furiosa with an open mind and ended up really enjoying it! I was instantly invested in Furiosa's character, captivated by her experiences in this brutal world. Despite my initial skepticism about making a film focused on a side character from a movie I didn't like, I was completely wrong.

Let's address the obvious: the action scenes are fantastic. Normally, I like to be analytical and find meaning in every shot, but the action in this movie is simply cool and exceptionally well-executed. Big shout out to the stunt performers and the director for their flawless execution. Chris Hemsworth deserves a mention too; this was a very different role for him, and I think he nailed it. It was great to see him stretch his acting skills. And, of course, Anya Taylor-Joy delivered a solid performance, as always. This time around, I found the lore, setting, and worldbuilding of the franchise truly compelling, without the excessive weirdness of the previous film.

I don't have many criticisms, but it did feel a bit too long at times. There's only so much car crashes and explosions I can handle, believe it or not. Additionally, while Furiosa's character was well-developed, I wish the other characters had more growth and depth to their stories.

Overall, it was an enjoyable watch. It may not be the best written or acted film of the year, but it's pure entertainment. I definitely recommend seeing it, whether you're a fan of the previous installments or not.
