Vikram Vedha

Vikram, an honest officer with the Lucknow police, is on a mission to find and eliminate gangster Vedha.     Gripping, Intriguing, Entertaining.
    Let me try to keep it uncomplicated. Firstly, I will enumerate what I liked, somewhat liked, somewhat disliked, and disliked about this movie. Later, I will put forth some comments that I feel are necessary to sum up.

    Liked: This movie has been made keeping the Hindi movie audience in mind. I regard myself as a movie buff, and I prefer the dialogue delivery to be as close to the day-to-day speaking style of the masses that the movie is catering to. The directors, Pushkar and Gayatri, and the rest of the team have managed to keep it that way.

    Somewhat liked: The action sequences could have been more convincing. I feel some fight scenes have shown just the reaction to an action that is never captured by the camera, which left me wanting more. Otherwise, some action and chase sequences are well-choreographed, shot, and are extremely engaging.

    Somewhat disliked: There are certain aspects of the storyline that could have been dealt with in a different way. For instance, the villain playing the husband against his wife and putting them on the polar ends of his police case could have had some more details.

    Disliked: The audio quality is quite poor in quite a few scenes; the background score tends to overwhelm the characters' dialogues.

    I have heard many times and read in various reviews that go on to compare regional and Hindi versions of the same movies, in which it is said that the regional version was better. My take on that issue is that every language and region has its own expressions and a pace at which they are expressed. So, how can we even start to compare the two very different ecosystems? I have noticed that every time one movie tries to mimic another, the result is never very palatable.

    All actors, Saif Ali Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Radhika Apte, etc., have played their parts very robustly and convincingly.

    Lastly, I watched this movie on Jio Tv, and now I wonder why this movie never did very well in theaters, when there are others with the crème de la crème of stars in Bollywood which are being claimed to be blockbusters but, in reality, shouldn't have seen the light of the day.

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THRILLER ACTION MOVIE
    Surely the best bollywood movie of 2022, full of thriller, suspense and action. Haven't watched film as good as this one since Covid. You can't even take your eyes off for even one second, the screenplay, plot, and surely the climax is outstanding. Hritik Roshan plays the role of a dreaded gangster, his style, acting and dancing is surely phenomenal. Whereas Saif Ali returns once again for a cop role and that too a dead honest cop just like in Sacred Games. Also there is influence of Indian folktale Characters Vikram and Beetal, where Vikram is Saif and Beetal is Hritik. Just like the folktale Hritik narrates stories to Saif and after each story asks him a question to a situation. And Hritik's next moves are based on Saif's answer to those situations.

    The songs are average but Hritik's dance do make them better. The fight scenes are stylishly choreographed, without too much overacting. The script, screenplay and dialogue are the best part of the film along with Hritik's acting.

    Direction- 9/10 Screenplay- 9.5/10 Dialogue- 9/10 Acting- 10/10 (both Hritik and Saif have done an outstanding job)

    Can't support a remake. Even though it has Hrithik
    Hrithik was superb and also Saif was above average, But couldn't enjoy this movie as it is a copy paste of Vikram Vedha Tamil movie. Knowing the entire story doesn't help me engage on a movie. Though we always say don't compare, but some how our mind always compare it with the original and I can say even though Hrithik has done a terrific job but Vijay Sethupathi was something special in the original movie which no one can outshine and replace. When Bollywood will learn and stop making remake that only god knows. I am giving three stars to this movie only because of Hrithik's terrific try to take his character near to what Sethupathi did in Original Vikram Vedha.

    A brilliant movie with brilliant performances.
    I haven't seen the original film so I didn't know what to expect from this movie. I ended up with a fabulous cinema experience.

    The movie revolves around Vikram (Saif Ali Khan) . He is a police officer hunting down Vedha (Hrithik Roshan), a gangster. What happens is an unexpected ride with these 2 characters.

    The performances are brilliant. The lead actors are just playing their parts in their way, not trying to be better than each other. This makes their chemistry perfect.

    I would highly recommend you to watch this film. It is an amazing Bollywood film and you would not be disappointed when you watch this film.

    can someone please bring down that bgm for some time?
    Went to this movie with lot of expetations but no, it was a dud with a loud BGM from the beginning. Saifs entry and encounter scene was very very bad, the ease with which saif was walking around killing, it all looked comic. Plus that bgm was real mood killer.

    You cant simply connect with the story when there is style over substance, at least in 1st half, story is complete dud.

    Also the acting of both saif and hrithik was not any great. Radhika looked good but her role was very very small.

    Overall very less time given for audience to create some empathy for the characters on screen as most of the time heavy entry and action scenes are shown.

    Only saving grace was the twist in the 2nd half only if you are still watching the movie(as some people left the hall in 2nd half beginning only.) Overall avoid this movie to stay free from headache.
