Worst Movie.. Boring and Pointless. Definitely NOT a Horror Movie
Worst Movie.. Boring and Pointless. Definitely NOT a Horror Movie.

1.5 hours I am never going to get back. I watched this as Sam Raimi's name was attached to it as Producer. It was pathetic. No Story at all. Just a lady's fear of Electricity and everything that is normal. Why? Just because she had a bad childhood and her mother was sick.

Its a pure torture dragging movie with absolutely Bad filmaking. Avoid and Run away from it.

    Psychological Thriller About Intergenerational Trama
This movie is exactly what the trailer illustrates, it is a psychological thriller about intergenerational trauma. It is well paced, brilliantly written with incredible performances by Sandra Oh and Fival Stewart. Good character development and chemistry. The internal struggle between Amanda and her deceased mother is played out in a clever way so that the audience is unsure whether the events are supernatural or psychological in nature. If you are looking for "The Ring" or "Hereditary" look elsewhere. This is more "Mommy Dearest" only with positive message. I was completely satisfied with both the execution of the film and it's message.

    An absolute bore fest.
A woman upset when her Uncle arrives at her home with her late mother's ashes.

I saw several trailers for this film, and it was made to look really rather good, and quite chilling. The reality though was sadly very different, this film could, and should have been quite something, it wasn't, for 95% of it, it was an absolute bore fest, absolutely nothing happens from beginning to end, having just sat, watching and waiting attentively, I still can't think of anything that actually happened. Efforts to scare simply fell flat, ths came with a 15 rating, I can't imagine anyone at any age being scared.

I'm a bit fan of Sandra Oh, her efforts on Killing Eve for example, I'll always adore her for that, but here though, there was just no spark of life, or anything. I saw that she had a hand in the film, I'm not sure it'll be something she'll look back on fondly.

    I can't remember being so underwhelmed, 4/10.

    Good, adorable...
Watching a basic horror in the uncomfortable seat of the plane back from Orlando, lol, I love it all so much, mother and daughter in a great connection, Sandra always perfect, in a different way, embarking on the horror genre, a very original story, a very convincing and real, adorable...
