    Predictable romantic story
Toscana is a topical film about a person who is unhappy and travels to a remote place where discovers than lives is simpler than he thought and that love healths everything. It's not an original idea, bit you can do great things with it. Regrettably, the director doesn't do anything with this premise.

Toscana is not a bad film. Has a coherent story, the characters are rich and complex, and the scenarios are beautiful. But everything happens really fast, the complex story behind every character it's not developed and the main character has zero charisma. Moreover, the story has not one, but two millionaires that gives money like candy and destroy the feeling that this is a believable story.

In conclusion, the film is ok, and you could enjoy some parts, but it's not working like romance nor drama.

    Confusing
The scenery is very beautiful in this movie. But other than that it is not good. I have never left a review before. But I did not like this movie. There are so many holes in it and it was very choppy. So many questions about the past and it is never answered. There is some dubbing in it and the script is just not natural.

I would not recommend this movie. I wanted to like it but we just couldn't. The story is very shallow and confusing. The food is not interesting either. I don't really know what else to say about it. I am not too picky about movies but I love a good story and this wasn't it.

Anders proves again, that he indeed can act, and produce..
Okay , i'm a sucker for small movies movies with something on heart.

But this here, ticks so many other boxes for movie making:

    1) it's 1:30 hours long , which most hollywood producers, could learn a lot off, as it should not take any longer, to tell a story well..

    2) not too many different personas, to relate to, and the few you have to relate to, you get just enough background info, to get some kind of understanding, but still curiousity about why the react in a certain way.

    3) perfectly balanced between predictability an surprises in the plot

    4) Anders Matthesen for sure can overact on stage when doing stand-up, and we all know that he's a great producer.

But this time , he showed me some acting I haven't seen done, other than by the great Jens Okking.

I really hit med, that Anders and Jens, looked similar in many ways . Almost as if they were related in real life .

If you want just a relax and chill, and really, just enjoy it!
I love the music, actors, sceneries, story! Especially after the covid era, which was full of stress, drama and fear, this movie is like a balm for your soul.

Warning! You'll be very hungry and thirsty while watching it, so be prepared :)))

I couldn't figure out who Merle was to Theo, former lover or sister-ish friend. But overall, the relationships were pure and authentic. I love the fact, there wasn't even one enemy or fraudster or some kind of a back stabbing "friend" as we usually have in almost every single movie.

If you want to relax and enjoy your free evening, this is the movie you want to watch.

    Highly recommended!
