    Exceptional - Captures the Essence of the Originals
    All four of us adults absolutely loved this movie. This was the first time any of us had seen it. "Tom and Jerry" is a movie we will be watching many more times.

    The animation of Tom and Jerry was top-notch. They had me believing that they were the same ones I watched when I was a kid. They included several classic elements of the originals. The piano playing scenes with Tom were some of my personal favorites. Jerry was up to his usual hijinks.

    Humor was prevalent. We laughed a lot throughout this movie.

    The acting was excellent. They drew me into their worlds and their acting seemed natural.

    One negative aspect of this was the rap music at the beginning. I'm not opposed to it if it's well done but it didn't fit this movie.

    Also, the animation of the birds and elephants was not up to par with the main animal characters.

    Still, it did not detract from our absolute enjoyment of the film. This is a movie that can be enjoyed by the entire family.

    I'm not sure that my attention span could manage . . .
    . . . a feature-length documentary about TOM & JERRY, but I could recommend with a rating of about "Seven" the briefer, officially nonexistent treatment titled VAUDEVILLE, SLAPSTICK AND TOM AND JERRY, a 2011 Studio West Pictures production included as a "bonus feature" on Disc Two of the "Tom and Jerry Golden Collection, Volume One." The eight talking heads, aka "The Usual Suspects" commenting therein all should fire their booking agents or PR people, and pick up some basic internet skills, so that their work does not perish unremarked in the proverbial "dustbin of history." This means YOU, Joe A., Andy B., Michael M., Eric G., Jerry B., Charles Z., Mark K. And Andrew F.! Of course, prattler William Hanna can be excused from such remedial media skill-building, since he bought the farm before VAUDEVILLE etc. Should have seen the light.

    My grandchildren loved it.
    I believe this is another film that should not be rated from an adult perspective. As from that point of view you may find many faults. However, watching my Grandchildren enjoy the movie was rewarding as they thoroughly enjoyed it. There is also enough subtle adult content to keep you amused. Let your kids watch it and hear what they have to say.

    Definitely recommend.
    While this film lacks a certain something, it doesn't deserve any of the aggressive hate people have been giving it.

    It's funny, it's cute, it has a plot that works, and the balance between live action and cartoony cgi animation works well in a way reminiscent of who framed roger rabbit and space jam. The cast did an amazing job with what they were given.

    My family and I really enjoyed this film and will most likely watch it again soon. Definitely recommend.
