    Best movie
Recapitulating the lesson of The North Water (BBC Two's 2021 short series) that men erratically turn wretched and savage or worst in a dragged out Arctic commission, no intellects can live up to nobility after 28 months of survival isolation. What separates any valid causes from a deranged mind, eventually, is a man's selfless sacrifice on his own comfort zone, a fiancée waiting at home and real friends along the journey for a bigger than life undertaking in history.

Incredibly gripping screenplay and self-performance by Scandinavian household movie thesp Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. One of the best pictures based on true event distributed by Netflix in recent time.

    very well done.
Nikolaj coster waldau is the danish captain ejnar mikkelsen, who had started out traveling through the waters of greenland. With him is iversen (joe cole), one of his crew. They are exploring the boundaries of greenland, to keep the americans from claiming ownership. But when the journey is longer and so much more difficult than they or anyone could imagine, things look pretty bleak. They are determined to forge on, in spite of amazing odds and obstacles. All they have to guide them are materials from a prior exploration party. Really good adventure and suspense. And all true! More details about mikkelsen's explorations at wikipedia dot org. Based on the book "two against the ice". Directed by peter flinth. Showing on netflix. Really good stuff. A grand adventure.

That biography that we love yes or for sure...
That biography that we love yes or for sure... It doesn't even need much, snow and biography already leave my S2 in ecstasy, very well produced, with that drama suffered from freezing and hunger, good performances, people with a dream and a lot of determination, convinces, and wins, great movie...

    Interesting true story
A good film based on a true story with pretty good cinematography and fine performances from the two leads. It's a very interesting story, harrowing in places, about two Danish men on an expedition in 1909 who got stranded there for two years. It somehow lacks in the tension inherent in such an experience but I credit that to a bit of a lackluster script and soundtrack. It's a bit over long but it's definitely worth a watch, just don't expect to be on the edge of your seat anywhere along the line.

My biggest complaint would be that they yet again cast a woman to be the lead's love interest who is at least half his age. What is it with constantly making middle-aged men look so desperate, almost pedophilic? It really degrades good movies.
