    Trust no one suspect everyone
Personally think that it's a great movie. As a women myself I find it especially relatable to this movie and Leighton played such an amazing role in portraying a woman who's been through different hardships in life caused by the people who're close to her because of her trusting personality. (Spoiler Alert) i.e. She was not aware that her husband cheated on her but she still blamed herself for feeling uninterested about their marriage, her best friend turned her back on her by hiring con artist to have sex with her and cheated with her husband, police officer who's supposed to help her find her friend was the one who sexually assaulted her friend, and many more to name.

However what impressed me the most is how she's still able to stay calm and came up with an effective solution every time danger approaches. And that really put me into thinking, what would I do in these situations if I am the one going through them.

The ending with Leighton walked happily and proudly, didn't even care to take anything else from the house, was honestly inspiring (although comic).

To sum up, I think one can say that "courage" is what the core of this movie is about.

PS: Definitely recommend to those who were not sure if they want to watch this movie. Not really recommend if you're looking for a fun or chill movie to watch.

In the end, I am not a pro at recommendations but I can definitely tell you that for some reason this movie successfully made me think, hence time well spent, and 5/5 recommended!😉

    Lots of twists and turns
We thoroughly enjoyed this movie and are puzzled by some of the low ratings and negative reviews. It is based on a novel and viewing it you know that is very likely. The story keeps you guessing and that is part of the fun. We thought Leighton Meester and Ziad Bakri did an especially good acting job. If you want to enjoy a roller coaster ride of a movie, try this. Well, my review needs more characters. Should I just keep saying the same thing over and over? I think I have made my point. Most people don't want to read a book. They just want to know what someone liked or disliked about a movie or series.

One Of The Worst Movies I've Tried To Watch
One of the worst movies I've tried to watch.

The film was shot in Croatia, in Split, a really beautiful environment. Unfortunately, that didn't help the film either, which is a typical product of modern film production.

The characters are hilarious and unrealistic, especially the taxi driver. The film was shot in Croatia and I was expecting a dose of realism, but in fact there are almost no Croats in the film.

The police never act like this in Croatia, in the movie the cops don't even ask for the mobile phone of the missing woman, hilariously poorly written movie.

If this taxi driver had threatened people like this in reality, he would have had a very bad time in Croatia.

In general, the characters in this film are catastrophically poorly written, and the portrayal of Croatia is hilariously unrealistic.

One of the worst films, as if it was made by complete amateurs, there is simply nothing good in this film. I couldn't even watch it to the end, it was so bad.

    Total waste of time.

    Above average thriller
I enjoyed this film. It's far from perfect as the continuity errors and goofs demonstrate. Thought the acting and script were believable and the director maintained a decent level of suspense throughout. My issue with the film and without giving anything away is that it's about 15 minutes too long. Anyone who has seen the film will know what I mean. It's here that the film loses it a bit. However still a good watch and worth my while seeing.

Short and simple Netflix thriller set in Croatia
This film was a little choppy and awkward in the beginning, but it did tell a decent story in it's mystery thriller. A new mom meets her college friend post divorce in Croatia for a girl's weekend away on the ex.

New mom is relatively conservative while her former college roommate is a bit of a party girl and interested in blowing off some steam. When her friend goes missing, no one seems very helpful...especially the men (my one commentary is that this film really vilifies men), with the exception of a random Syrian taxi driver named Zain who ends up going above and beyond to help her.

There are a couple twists that make this an ok film. I enjoyed seeing a little slice of Croatia and a few Croatian actors like Amar Bukvic.

Overall more of a watch and delete...but if you are into vacation thrillers, you might enjoy it.
