    Fantabulous
There's no beating around the bush here. This thing gets right to action and addresses all the previous issues just about perfect with inclusion of a larger storyline. Got me hooked for the entire deal and its a blast. 🔥

    Good but disappointing follow up
Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms is a good but disappointing follow up, frustratingly rushing through multiple plot points and stories without any of them feeling like the main plot. However, it's still enjoyably action packed and satisfyingly violent. Joel McHale, Jennifer Carpenter, Dave B. Mitchell and Patrick Seitz are all great. Ethan Spaulding's direction is good and the animation is also great. The music by Eric V. Hachikian and John Jennings Boyd is really good.

A few Great Fights/Gore. Terrible Story.
I'll start with what I enjoyed. Some of the fight sequences are great. One of the standouts is the introduction of cyrax and sektor. Everytime they showed up on screen they were an imposing force and I loved every second of it. Shao Khan was awesome especially his fight with Liu. A few of the fatalities were incredibly violent and awesome as we should expect. Kung Lao getting ripped in half made by jaw drop and Striker having his head slowly ripped off reminded me of Kratos in God of War 3. Moments of MK brutality like that will have any MK fan smiling and disgusted with the awesome brutality. A few other fight scenes were decent at best.

The main issue is the story. As everyone else says it was several hours of content or even two seasons squeezed into a 70 minute mess. The plot is all over the place and there is absolutely no significant character development what so ever. The final battle eventually transforms into an odd-terrible looking assault on the senses. It really goes far out there and I grew tired of everything being crammed into such a short running time. The violence and action is also non-stop. This can seem like a positive to some but I wanted some freaking breathing room because eventually with all the nonstop action you can see how inconsistent the action scenes are. All the budget is saved for the major one on one's and those are great fights. The non stop filler fights have terrible animation and the gore is so relentless it may lose its impact for some. Literally in some of the fights between the big fights you would have characters not even being animated. It looked incredibly cheap and rushed, some of the artwork is just plain ugly in this movie.

I was entertained in spurts but by the 70 minute mark I really wanted this movie to be over right before it went into the crap fest that was it's finale. Wait to rent this movie at redbox or if you can find it on a streaming service for cheap in my opinion. The few entertaining fights and moments of gore don't make up for the terrible-rushed storytelling, vast aboumt of characters that left me with a headache and glad that it finally ended when it did.
