Might be scary if you are afraid of heights
Having said that, I am and I still found this bland. I expected the height element to give me palpitations and was the reason I chose to watch but they absolutely did not and I was easily able to ignore that element (much to my disappointment). Maybe it was just not believable enough or maybe it was because I was annoyed almost from the start with the lack of accuracy but I felt none of the usual sweaty palms and curled up toes whenever I watch people really climbing these types of heights. Acting is okay but some glaringly stupid decisions and a rather weak ending does not help. I liked the slight twist just before the ending but still does nothing to lift this above the ordinary.

Average acting and plot, but WHAT A THRILLER
Spoilers are only in the final paragraph, with another spoiler tag warning at the beginning of it, so you can safely read this review until you reach that point. So, let's just get this out of the way. The acting is only alright, and the characters do something incredibly stupid and ill-prepared. To those who say this film is unrealistic, I would say, Google "influencers who died doing something stupid" and read through the results. Now that you're acquainted with the fact that this premise is actually completely realistic, lol, let's get on to the review.

This film kept my heart racing for easily 80% of the entire thing, and that's new for me. I've been a lifelong horror fan, but no film has EVER kept my heart rate seriously elevated for the majority of the entire film. I don't even suffer from acrophobia (fear of heights...obviously) at all and I love extreme rollercoasters; but this film kept the vertigo hitting repeatedly throughout most of the film. The cinematography is PHENOMENAL and does its job exceptionally well.

SPOILERS: Don't read beyond this point if you don't want any spoilers; you've been warned. The twist near the end is well done, finding out she's been dead for a while. It instantly makes you think that the main character may not make it out of this alive. Unfortunately, she does, and I think it would have been a better play to repeat that twist at the end, very similar to the darker ending of The Descent, which was absolutely phenomenal. I'm a real fan of "bad" endings in horror, and they don't get used anywhere near enough in my opinion. Despite the failings of this film, the cinematography alone makes it worth the watch. It's more of a "thriller" scary movie than anything I've ever seen in my life, and I've seen a LOT of horror films.

    Thunderbirds are go...
I thought this movie did it. As someone who learnt how to hang glide by launching off hills with thousand foot drop offs (although in the end i did not pursue the sport after five successful flights) this movie delivered for me. Although not perfect i really liked it. Some of the deficiencies included the fact that the girls did not really show any sense of sensitivity to the cold, which i am sure they would have felt especially at night. Also i thought sone of their daredevil antics when they were first at the top were just a bit too brazen and unbelieveable.

It was really "Cliff hanger" without the beautiful mountain scenery.

    Your palms will sweat!
2 stupid girls climb a 2000ft tower and get stuck.

That's it. That's the story. So the fact that this was one of the most nail biting, stomach churning movies I've ever seen is testament to the director.

The scenes from the top of the tower are genuinely some of the most terrifying "look away" moments I've ever seen in a film. I watched this with my wife and 8 year old daughter and all of us kept telling each other to feel our sweaty palms!!!

There's a few scenes that are a bit implausible, but it's one of those movies that you just need to suspend your cynicism for an hour and just enjoy the ride.

    I didn't....
Understand this film. At the start there are three climbers one man two woman unfortunately the man falls too his death so then later on one of the woman who was in the relationship with the man that fell is sitting in a bar all on her own getting drunk then when she comes out of the bar her dad is standing there waiting for her so she tells him that she just wants to be on her own and walks away him so one drunk girl walking about on her own yeah okay then?! Anyway later on her friend who was on the mountain with her when her partner fell comes to pay her a visit and tells her that they are going to climb up too the top of a 2000ft tv tower with all the rust and bolts falling off when they are climbing to the top I think I would have stayed at the bottom. But they climb too the top and then when they want to get down that's when all the problems start. From getting there car stolen and taking there trainers off and throwing them too the ground too get a distraction too where they are. I don't know what happened if they got down or not as the film started to get boring at this point as they just kept arguing with each other at the top so it's a bit meh to be honest.

    Engrossing, but almost entirely false
Acrophobia of fear of heights is probably _the_ foremost rational fear, compared to things like fear of the dark, spiders, dentists, public speaking... Even a fall from some 10 feet can do you serious harm, let alone 2000. So as the girls perch precariously and try various risky maneuvers at the top of the tower or at the antenna array just below, we justifiably hold out breath.

But they have a rope, the tower is about 3 feet wide, so they could have deployed the rope like a lineman (line-person) uses a leather belt to help to help him/herself up or down a power pole. Latter is only about a foot thick but the same principal applies. The girls need a safe way to lower themselves to the ground, so gravity would do much of the work.

Fling the rope, doubled if possible, around the tower and catch it on the return side, tie yourself securely to it, then jiggle it to slip a little at a time and control your descent as you walk down the tower. Getting past the antenna array would be tricky, but like the top perch, it also has a short ladder section which should make this possible.

These girls are experienced climbers and inventive, so it's incomprehensible in this life-and-death situation that they would not have thought of this. Of course if they had, it would have been a rather shorter, less interesting movie...

    Waste of Time
I don't know how in the world anybody ranks this movie better than a one or two. It is so unrealistic. It's not worth your time and if you decide to waste your time and watch it, you'll quickly realize I was right. How can a professional climber not strap themselves in for safety. Everything about this movie is a complete waste of time. I highly recommend you stick needles in her eye before you watch this. That will be more fun and entertaining to you. I said it once, and I'll say it again, do not waste your time on this movie. There are some comical parts that I did laugh at that, but that was only because of the stupidity of things that were happening.

    Just started it and it's a 5
First time viewer, but I've seen this movie a hundred times. 20 minutes in and I knew everything that was going to happen. Mediocre acting, bad writing, the works. Still an entertaining, mindless brainwash. Worth a watch for the $3 rental.

Guess I have to type more, soo, Thry have ropes ties to each other, but they never clip to any rungs or other support beams. They're supposedly experienced climbers, but the one girl is wearing Chuck Taylor's, and neither of them wear gloves or helmets or anything else. I know it's supposed to be a thriller, but meh.

The movie seems to only serve the purpose of showing attractive young women in skimpy outfits.

SPOILER: Worst eggdrop experiment guide ever. They didn't even try to put the phone inside the sock and bra, and they didn't tie the shoe.

The emotional growth and other aspects of the story are trash. The campy aspects fail.

    Terrible
Absolutely the worst film I have seen all year... And it's almost December. So bad in parts it actually becomes a little funny. Apparently my review is too short, so I had to add more words... This film is absolutely terrible. Garbage. Bad. Aweful. I don't know what else to say to highlight just how terrible this film really was. Plus, Jeffrey David an Morgan's agent needs a good word with himself. That, or JDM was a little strapped for cash and needed a side project. Jeez, I still need to write more words. So, this film again, bad, rubbish, terrible. The bit when the drone crashed was funny. The end.
