One of the best movie musicals ever.
Haters going to hate and those one star people might as well be rating their stinky attitudes: this is a fun, scandalous, titillating movie musical. It's like they might as well be complaining about some totally different movie. I love Megan thee stallion emulating Mae West. The entire experience was witty and amazing. The songs were well made. Amazing cast with gorgeous singing voices and perfect comedic timing. It was a good job translating a two person UCB show onto a cinematic experience. Don't want to see it or hate it? So stupid it's genius!
I can't deny the humor in this comedy is stupid, crass, low-brow humor, but it's the perfect sweet spot that's actually has you laughing until your gluteus maximus falls off and then you'll have to kill it with a flip-flop!
This is the kind of movie my overly religious mother would watch with me on Friday or Saturday night and then when she was at church on Sunday, if someone mentioned something like Nathan Lane, she would magically "forget" this movie was made and act appalled. After dinner that night, she would watch it again with me and start singing along to a couple of the songs and say "how bad it is" while laughing raucously.
Nathan Lane delivers perfect comedy, as expected. I recognized the voice of the mother but couldn't place her. After 2 days, I finally looked it up and found out it is Aunt Gayle (Megan Mullally) from Bob's Burgers! I love Aunt Gayle and think she's side-splitting funny! She was even more humorous in this, which was unimaginable to me before I watched Dicks. - derekpreston-1 - 28 October 2023
what a lot of .....
This was possibly the worst thing i have ever seen. What on earth were the actors thinking, it wasn't even so bad its funny it was beyond that, it so wanted to be a new rocky horror picture show but failed miserably. If you find the humor in being obscene for no reason singing about cocks and vaginas,well then go ahead, why the talented cast agreed to be in this is beyond belief, if it reminded me of anything it would be a child trying to be shocking saying cock and vagina and how tedious that quickly becomes, how or why this is getting good reviews the only redeeming quality was it ended, but sadly not fast enough.
