    Actually a good film
The Bad Guys is a 2022 2D/Computer Animated Heiat Comedy featuring the voices of Sam Rockwell,Akwafina,Craig Robinson,Richard Ayode,Anthony Ramos and Alex Borstein.

The story follows a group of lifetime notorious criminals named Mr. Wolf(Rockwell), Mr. Snake(Marc Maron), Mr. Piranha(Ramos), Mr. Shark(Robinson), and Ms. Tarantula(Awkafina) who are finally caught with their crimes. To avoid a prison sentence, the animal outlaws must pull off their most challenging con yet: becoming model citizens. Under the guidance of their mentor, Professor Marmalade(Ayode), the gang set out to fool the world that they've turned good. But could any of them be considering turning good for real?

Overall this was a real surprise. It reminded me of Oceans meets Zootopia(Zootropolis). The animation style reminded me of Wish. Check it out on Netflix.

Unfortunately too predictable for my 8 year old
Bought this as it came up as a recommendation after watching "Puss in Boots: the last wish" and to go from that 10/10 to this is, in a word, Ooof

That being said we (my family and I) tried to give it the benefit of the doubt but unfortunately we predicted the ending within about 15 mins.

The voice acting is good with the exception of Richard Ayoade who I normally love. He's soooo out of place here and his inability to even try to act like anyone but himself is just horrible in this.

The animation is good but there was a cheapness to it. (Not sure how else to describe it.)

The gist of this review though isnt that I didn't enjoy it. I'm an adult. This is a kids movie. It's that my 7 year old was bored throughout and predicted everything before it happened. It makes it difficult to continue viewing it.

Don't think we'll be watching it again. Should have just rented it. Buying was £5.99. Renting was £4. Felt like I was getting a good deal. You live and learn.

    GOOD ACTION.
Good action and great message of how good it feels to do the right thing. This movie is for kids but will keep adults guessing. Lots of twists and turns. An awesome movie for kids that isn't pushing an agenda.

Synopsis: In the new action comedy from DreamWorks Animation, based on the New York Times best-selling book series, a crackerjack criminal crew of animal outlaws are about to attempt their most challenging con yet--becoming model citizens. Never have there been five friends as infamous as The Bad Guys--dashing pickpocket Mr. Wolf (Academy Award® winner Sam Rockwell, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), seen-it-all safecracker Mr. Snake (Marc Maron, GLOW), chill master-of-disguise Mr. Shark (Craig Robinson, Hot Tub Time Machine franchise), short-fused "muscle" Mr. Piranha (Anthony Ramos, In the Heights) and sharp-tongued expert hacker Ms. Tarantula (Awkwafina, Crazy Rich Asians), aka "Webs." But when, after years of countless heists and being the world's most-wanted villains, the gang is finally caught, Mr. Wolf brokers a deal (that he has no intention of keeping) to save them all from prison: The Bad Guys will go good. Under the tutelage of their mentor Professor Marmalade (Richard Ayoade, Paddington 2), an arrogant (but adorable!) guinea pig, The Bad Guys set out to fool the world that they've been transformed. Along the way, though, Mr. Wolf begins to suspect that doing good for real may give him what he's always secretly longed for: acceptance. So when a new villain threatens the city, can Mr. Wolf persuade the rest of the gang to become... The Good Guys?

    2022's most underrated film.
I've very nearly missed this because it just didn't really hit any radar's.

It has an amazing story line that is just go, go, go.... with twists and turns and whilst some may be a little cliche'd that's part of the charm in this film.

The artwork is great. I loved that it reflected the dry LA sort of back ground.. yet it was bright and colourful without being childish or outlandish.

The voice actors - felt like each part was written for them. They all came through as individual as their characters were. No reusing voices for different characters.

Overall this is one of those kids films that adults will love. It has all the fun of a heist without the stupid adults getting in the way, yet none of the childish by play of a children's film

Don't miss out on this one for a group of kids, teens or adults who want a good laugh.

    Honestly way better than anticipated.
Just honestly adored the movie. I put it on as background noise while I was cleaning but got quickly caught up in the movie. As a like mostly adult person I feel if you have kids this would be a great choice to keep them entertained. It feels like a true action movie recreation meant for kids? I mean yeah I get that's the point but they did a great job with it! The amount of twists and turns truly kept me so invested in this movie for children it's not even funny. The literally second I saw that wolf's tail start wagging after being called a "good boy" I knew I was done cleaning. Who knew it was so easy to change a "bad guy". Maybe, just maybe he really wasn't that bad the whole time.

    Excellent Movie
The best animated crimecomedies made in the latter years thinks the grumpy old man, and yes its animals behind the masks, and the only thing that draws my ciphers to an 8 must be some save the budget cuts in the most expensive animation parts...

the voice cast is supreme, the animated caracters are extraordinay and colourful the timing and sound edits on the spot, the musical score fresh and amazing the comedy are at moments hilarious and for the rest of the time ts just smiling fun, so lets call them the bad guys 6. The humour by the way is not exactly for minors and toddlers, so 7+ is a good guideline of rating. Bet that im seeing this carnival once again, then with my grumpy better half by my side, you better not missout on this one.
