I was 1 in 1974 when ABBA won Eurovision Song Contest with Waterloo. Until now there are only three songs about Eurovision Song Contest, and The Story of the Fire Saga is one of them. 6 years after Will Ferrell played in The LEGO Movie the man goes north again now in Iceland to win the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with his girlfriend, but beside the tons of fun like the bouncy folk song Jaja Ding Dong there are also lot of drama too. With Eurovision Song Contest 2020 sinking the fans was lucky enough to get this movie where old legends from Iceland meets the modern stage. And, who knows when Iceland in real life will host Eurovision Song Contest?

    A perfect mix!
Funny, heartwarming, local and genuine. What more could you ask for.

This is the greatest music film idea ever brought together if you are a big fan of music and eurovision.

It got a great story and its a film that feels genuine and close. Its a very warm and engaging film that really makes the audience attached to the country of Island and the fictional band of Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams which makes a great performance! Aswell as Mikael Persbrandt.

This film feels like a honour to the true Eurovision excitement that the event give to many of us.

Truly a brilliant film and a must watch if you are into music and film, the perfect combo!

    An instant classic
I'm Australian and Australia has had a love affair with Eurovision for, well, ever. Such is our enthusiasm that Eurovision has even allowed us to compete since 2015!! (To be fair we do have European sensibilities). So I was already a Eurovision fan when I watched this movie. What a hoot!! I've watched it maybe 5 or 6 times now in full, but I'll often scan for my favourite scenes. I love everything about it. It's funny and very warm. All the actors do a great job but I must give a special shout-out to Dan Stevens' turn as Alexander Lemtov ... genius!! So many quotable quotes! "You are beautiful and kind. I handsome and rich. This is typically very winning combination". Gold!! And as for Rachel McAdams' innocent charm (and beautiful smile) ... perfect. Script is funny, songs are great and the mood is perfect. I will watch this many more times and enjoy it just as much every time.

    A fun romp
As someone who's grown up watching Eurovision, this was more fun than expected! The way they gently poke fun at the event is sweet instead of grating. I don't usually watch Will Farrell movies but he wasn't too over the top for this film.

Dan Stevens should definitely keep the Wham! Aesthetic, it suits him.

OMG... Cant believe i havent reviewed this yet n i've watched this like, 10 times since it came out!! I LOVE IT!!! It's hilarious n definitely a great movie to substitute for not being able to do eurovision when covid broke out. Favourite scene was the song-a-long when they brought the winners of eurovision out!! N my bestie always cracks up over the toilet tipping scene!! Hahaa brilliant n hilarious movie!!!!
